Services we offer...

School Breakfast Program

What is it?
Designed to provide a nutritious start to each school day for any student. This service is offered to students free of charge and all schools are invited to participate in District ASD-W.

Why support the program?
To ensure students do not start their day on an empty stomach. Don’t let hunger be a barrier to learning.

How does it work?
Schools arrange storage, preparation and distribution of food. VFS delivers food supplies, with assistance from local and regional donors.

What is it?
Local and convenient access to emergency food services for individuals and families in rural communities.

Call ahead by Monday at 4pm the week of the delivery. This is to ensure eligibility and a food basket is prepared.

Clothing Program

  • Clothes are available free of charge to all clients
  • Clothes are sorted, folded and accounted for by volunteers
  • Public is welcome

“Garden Thyme” Cooking & Gardening Club

  • Group meets weekly with a volunteer leader
  • Focus of the group is to experience gardening and learning ways to preserve, cook and serve nutritous foods.
  • Learn to focus on saving time, energy and money
  • Learn to improve social skills and have fun!

Household Items

  • Furniture items are stored for people in emergency and or need
  • Priority list used

Emergency Food Services

  • Food Bank on site open Monday - Thursday
    10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Serving all residents from Nackawic to River de Chute
  • Provide food supply after confidential interview
  • Services available to those in need with low income from EI, pensions, social assistance, workers’ compensation, working or no income
  • Outreach delivery services to Florenceville-Bristol, Centreville, Lakeville, Hartland, Millville, Canterbury and Meductic.
